Both Parties must appear in person to file an application for a marriage license. There is a fee for filing the application. This fee must be paid before the application can be filed. Fees may vary depending on counties.

All applicants must have identification and Social Security card or may use another Legal document (Voter Registration Card, Paycheck Stub, Tax Record) containing their Social Security Number.

Applicants who cannot work in the U.S. must get a Statement from the Social Security Administration stating that they cannot obtain a Social Security Card.

Applicants under the age of Eighteen (18) should call your local Marriage License Office for Requirements.

There is a waiting period in most states from the time you apply for the license until the time the license can be issued.
